One of the most common questions we get is: "What bangle size should I order?" Getting it right matters — too tight and it won't slide over your hand, too loose and it'll spin around your wrist all day. Here's how to measure at home in under 2 minutes.

Method 1: The paper strip trick

Wrap a strip of paper around the widest part of your palm (where your thumb tucks in, since that's the part the bangle has to pass over). Mark where it overlaps, measure the length in inches, then divide by 3.14 (pi) to get your diameter. Round up to the nearest standard size.

Method 2: Measure an existing bangle

If you already own a bangle that fits well, lay it flat and measure the inner diameter from edge to edge (not the outer edge). This is the number to match when ordering online.

Standard Indian bangle size chart

Most of our bangles are sized 2.2” to 2.8” inner diameter — the standard range for Indian women's wrists:

  • 2.2″ — Petite wrist
  • 2.4″ — Small to average wrist
  • 2.6″ — Average wrist
  • 2.8″ — Slightly fuller wrist

Free-size bangles: how do they work?

Many of our kada and cuff-style designs are adjustable free-size, meaning they're crafted with slight flexibility to fit most wrist sizes comfortably — no measuring required. Look for "Free Size" in the product title if you'd rather skip the guesswork.

Still unsure?

When in doubt, size up slightly rather than down — a bangle that's a touch loose is far more comfortable than one you have to force over your knuckles.
